I don't know how it translates in Portuguese, but in English the word "crane" can either mean one like you have shown here, used for construction, or a long legged and long beaked bird like these. When I lived in Germany, about 20 years ago, we saw so many of these construction cranes in the cities that the English speaking community would often joke that the "Crane" was the national bird of Germany, giving it a double meaning. I hope this translates well enough to make sense.
